Today was very hot. JR and I were so busy too. We have a lot of deadlines. So, I could not wait to go home and make a watermelon smoothie. We bought this huge watermelon last Friday. It tastes so sweet. Today, I was finally able to make the smoothie. I filled the blender with watermelon slices, 2 tablespoons of condensed milk and fresh milk. I then blended them. It was so refreshing to drink it after a hearty meal. I just love eating at home.

Arya’s Tallest Tower

We played a lot of games today. We pretended to be stars, donkeys and doctors. Arya decided we will build the tallest tower using her plastic blocks. It was a good way to teach her how to make a design and modify the design to make it work. At first, she did not want the tower to collapse. But she understood the limit of her design. She now gets excited to make new designs and test their limits. She particularly enjoyed pushing the towers down. It was really fun. She did not even realized that she was learning a skill.

Arya’s Surprise Today

Arya surprised me today with another drawing on my working table. We agreed to divide the table into two. One side is her office and the other side is mine. She likes to draw and paint. One day, she decided to draw on her office. When she used up most of her office space, she started drawing on my side of the table. Today, she showed me a picture of a Mama and baby swan, 2 cats and a flamingo. Our table now is starting to look like a graffiti wall. I don’t mind. I remembered that I did the same thing to our cabinets when I was her age.
