The 23rd of the month is an important day for all of us. Arya was born on March 23. We have decided that we will celebrate a “monthly birthday” for her. Every 23rd of the month, Arya can ask for three gifts. She usually asks for a cupcake, balloon and a toy. Today was no exception. However, she only asked for a cupcake. She only likes to blow her candle and eat the frosting. Because we worked late today, we were not able to catch the bakery. So, we were only able to buy a muffin from the food store. We have to buy a frosting that comes with sprinkles. When we reached home, she immediately asked for the cupcake. When she saw the pizza box, she started to cry because she expected for a cupcake. But when she saw the cupcake, she didn’t cry anymore. She had fun decorating the muffin. It made her day! Nothing beats the loving smile of a child who got her wish.

Two years ago, on June 23rd, we went out together to buy her gifts. The picture below shows her holding on to her balloon. I wish that we were able to take her out today. But she does not complain. And I really love that about her.

When we celebrated her monthly birthday when she was 8 months old, we let her wear a crown. She looked so cute with the crown. It is perfect for her. Because she is our princess!
