The Eerie Sound of a Katydid

JR and his mom told me this morning that they heard an unusual sound at around five in the morning. It was too dark, so they could not see anything. It sounded that it is so close which made it eerie. We heard the sound again tonight. I decided to record the sound and sent it to my friends who are bird experts. One of them replied and told me that it is not a bird sound. So, I was sure that it was an insect. I know cicadas and crickets make sound at night time. But when we look up for their sounds, it did not sound the same. We finally figured out that it was a katydid. After we found out what it was, the sound was not anymore eerie but annoying.

Arya and Mama’s Day

JR went to work today. So, Arya and I were left to play all day long. We played with Legos, tent, and plushy toys. It was fun to have our bonding moment. I am also glad that she has very little screen time today. It was a long day but it was worth it. I almost was not able to write a blog for today.
