Thank God It’s High Tide!!!
We went to the beach last Sunday, even though the weather forecast says that it was still high tide. The big waves covered the water but it still left a small area in the shore for us to go for a stroll. We just decided to look for rocks and shells. We were so engrossed with what we were doing that we lost track of time. We also didn’t notice that the waves were a little bit tamer and less frequent. It was slowly coming to a low tide. It was amazing how there was a huge space of sand in between the puddles of water near the shore and the ocean itself. Then the most exciting part happened. My husband saw a golden baby crab in the puddles of water. Then a few hermit crabs and a small fish. All of us shifted our focus to the stream of water near the shore. We saw different sea creatures which we thought were washed to the shore by the big waves during the high tide. Now, these creatures are trying to make their way back to the ocean. It was an utterly breathtaking and thrilling sight to see. Arya was able to touch a baby crab, tiny shrimp and baby flat fish. It was our first time to experience the tiny sea creatures up close. Thank God It was High Tide!!!
